Responsibilities:

Provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy
uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers
provides solid knowledge and skills regarding the integration of application components across the business segments
will assist in resolving support problems
has solid knowledge of programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding and testing
Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business
performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills:

Candidate must have 5+ years of cloud engineering experience.
Candidate must have 5+ years of experience with AWS multi region experience including VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Route53, and CloudFormation deployments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
Knowledge of financial services industry (preferred)
Knowledge of end-to-end system development life cycles (including waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development)
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization ( e.g. executive, management, peers, and individual contributors)
Possess and demonstrate excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills;
Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take using facts
Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
Posses a positive outlook, strong work ethic, and demonstrative responsiveness to internal/external customers and contacts
May require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices.
