Cloud Engineer
Job Type: Contract/Full Time

Responsibilities:
- Provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy
- uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers
- provides solid knowledge and skills regarding the integration of application components across the business segments
- will assist in resolving support problems
- has solid knowledge of programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding and testing
- Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business
- performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Candidate must have 5+ years of cloud engineering experience.
- Candidate must have 5+ years of experience with AWS multi region experience including VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Route53, and CloudFormation deployments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
- Knowledge of financial services industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of end-to-end system development life cycles (including waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization ( e.g. executive, management, peers, and individual contributors)
- Possess and demonstrate excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills;
- Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take using facts
- Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
- Posses a positive outlook, strong work ethic, and demonstrative responsiveness to internal/external customers and contacts
- May require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices.
